EduCompass Learning Centre was established by Jody Toh, a full-time tutor who has been teaching since 2009.
Over the years, we have helped numerous students excel both academically as well as on a personal level. We believe in making a difference in both aspects crucial to our students’ complete development.
Our committed teachers spare no expense when it comes to providing quality education to our students. Our learning centres specialise in Mathematics and Science for Primary and Secondary levels.
We have classes specifically designed for students with different learning needs (i.e. class level, learning speed). As much as possible, in the child’s best interest, we encourage parents to enrol their children into the appropriate class after our FREE Diagnostics Test.

- All our tutors are highly qualified, with a bachelor’s degree or NIE- qualifications. We strongly believe our passionate and committed tutors are tantamount in helping your child excel. - Teachers at EduCompass Learning Centre undergo a stringent selection process. Apart from their qualifications, most importantly, they must have the true passion and commitment to teach, to motivate and to inspire.
✔ Small Group Size (Max. 10 Students)
- Many children have a fear of raising questions, and the large class size in schools deters them further. Here at EduCompass, we strongly advocate having group sizes of not more than 10 students. Not only does this facilitate a close-knitted relationship between the child and teacher, it also minimizes the awkwardness with regards to asking questions. A group of like-minded students learning together will help to motivate and encourage effective learning.
- Our small group size helps to build strong rapport between the child and the teacher, thus minimizing the power distance and encouraging a child to open up and clarify doubts with their teacher.
✔ FREE Homework Clinics
- We understand that a very common problem faced by the child is encountering difficulties with their school homework. Hence, EduCompass offers FREE homework clinics to all our students whereby they may arrange with their tutor to come down to the centre on days where they have no tuition, for homework consultation.
✔ Strong Team of Curriculum Specialists and NIE-Trained Teachers
- Our team of curriculum specialists consists of experienced tutors and NIE-trained teachers, ensuring that the materials utilized at the centre are constantly up-to-date in accordance with the MOE syllabus. Their vast experience in this field helps them to identify and incorporate appropriately challenging questions that serve as a beneficial source of practice for our students.

- Seeking feedback on your child’s progress is only an SMS or phone call away! When in doubt, just SMS to find out more about your child. Furthermore, this service has also encouraged 2-way communication between the centre and the parent. Parents may engage with the centre to help their children improve on their results.

- We believe in maximizing your child’s potential. But in order to do so, we adopt a progressive learning approach. This helps your child build strong conceptual understanding of the subject/topic, which would subsequently enable them to embark on more challenging problems to tackle.

Due to the small class size, teachers are able to give personalised guidance to each individual student. I am a sec 1 student and my grades went from B3 practice papers to A1s for both of my WAs. Teachers there are friendly and lighthearted, allowing a calm and conducive environment for learning. Typically I wouldn't go for any tuition whatsoever as I find tuition boring, but Educompass is an exception. The classes are engaging and easy to understand. Class doesn't get boring because there are many guided practices and the teachers will ensure all students understand the concepts before moving on. I highly recommend joining!

Super duper bad Tution centre, for my first lesson, I was surprised to see that I was the only one that showed up and the rest of the students were online (zoom). During that time, I did not know the chapter at all, no guidance by the teacher, he just focused on the other students that were attempting question online while I just sat there alone by myself. Afterwards, the teacher proceeds to tell me to learn the chapter at home by myself first before coming to the following lesson and also stated that I wasn’t even trying during the lesson (he did not help and I did not know anything). If he tell me to go home and learn it myself then what’s even the point of my parents paying for this tuition. Worst day ever, he made me feel so so stupid.

Before I joined, I struggled a lot with understanding concepts but after I joined, I could understand the concepts much more easily through the notes and practises given. Currently, I still really appreciate the notes as they are concise and informational!

However , after I joined edu compass , I realised that my concepts became stronger with the help of teacher jody and teacher Aaron. I was failing my science in p5 and that was when i joined this tuition and her teaching was very understandable and i end up passing my science. In secondary, I was failing quite badly for my emath getting f9 and E8 but thanks to teacher jody, my emath started passing with an A1! Teacher jody's lessons are all very very fun and very entertaining. She is very easygoing which allows us to ask her questions that we dont know without a worry. She explains all questions thoroughly and patiently! This makes me believe that i will get good grades for emath!

Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. before i join the tuition centre, i was really really struggling with amath and emath(failing). i decided to ask my best friend about her tution centre and ended up coming here. i have no regrets and glad that i have joined! teacher jody is extremely patient and will always answer my queries whenever i needed help! she is able to explain each and every question in a clear way which really helps me to understand the solution of the question! Her lessons are always fun and chill which makes me look forward to going to tution. Along the way, I find myself slowly improving and i started passing my emath and amath. Surprisingly, through the tution, I found myself liking amath more(hated it). Hopefully 🤞 I am able to get A2 for amath and emath for olevel!
